Second Surface, Contour Cut Decal for NYC Gallery Windows

Jack Shainman Art Gallery in New York City teamed up with 40 VISUALS to promote the Hank Willis Thomas’ exhibition, Unbranded: A Century of White Women, 1915-2015, on the window glass in front of the gallery.  The Contour Cut Vinyl Decal was printed in 8 panels and installed on the interior of the gallery window facing outward, spanning over 11 ft. x 11 ft. of glass.

Not only did 40 VISUALS  print and install the large window graphic.  We also designed the concept blueprint for the overall space, that’s shown in the photos above.  The result was impressive to say the least.  It’s all about planning.

The unique window decal was printed on a premium white vinyl, then teamed with an adhesive and liner that was applied to the front of the graphic after it was printed.  That allowed the face of the graphic to adhere to the interior of the glass.  That way it could be seen from the street, but stay inside. This is a popular request for window decals.

The opening reception for this exhibition starts: Friday, April 10th, from 6-8 PM at 524 West 24th Street, New York, NY 10011.  If you are in the area be sure to check out this amazing storefront graphic and spectacular exhibit at the Jack Shainman Gallery.
